Will missouri extradite for nonsupport charges?

i have a boyfriend, who was recently arrested in ga. the jail said he had no bond because he was being extradited by Jackson co. Missouri...14 hrs away!!! he had informed me that he was slightly behind... so i don't understand why they would pay so much to extradite on a misdemeanor. I called KC, Missouri and they were where i learned why he was being taken back... but they wouldn't tell me how much he owed or whether it was a felony or misdemeanor.. i just found out I'm pregnant and would like to know if i should even bother expecting him to be free when the baby is born. It may seem like a dumb question... in all honesty i'm hoping the whole extradition thing is done on misdemeanor nonsupports because of the nature and the whole "enforce child support" rather thn felony because i am stressed and wondering will i really have to do this alone... im pretty sure MO would not pay to come get him if it wasn't a felony (large amount)... but i am hoping someone knows for sure.
