When is the best time to exchange my � to $?

I'm off to the US in June and would like to exchange some of my money, but due to the recession, im wary of when to make the move. I just checked on google and it appears to be �1 = $1.50 at the minute. Is it likely to get better or worse? It's probably a really stupid question as nobody may know, but i havent really payed much attention on the news regarding the credit crunch so i'm not sure if its meant to be improving now, or getting worse before improving.
