What type I shoes to wear with a sprained foot?

Yesterday I sprained my foot and since it is swollen and really hurts the only type of shoe tht I can wear Is a flip flop I know it's not the ideal shoe but it's the only thing tht might work also since I have to go back to school tomorrow also would it be weird if I wore a flip flop and an ugg please I need options people.....thanks(:
